The Municipal Museum features a new exhibition, and it's an opportunity someone won't miss.
"Pola decided to take me to a museum to see a collection of pirate treasures. I had a bad feeling about it..."
Solution[]
Pola Chapelle: Hi there! I was just thinking... do you still remember about the coffee you promised me?
Detective: Well, uh... yeah. Sure. Anytime!
Pola Chapelle: i have a better idea. Let's swap it for a visit to the museum.
Detective: A visit to the museum? Why?
Pola Chapelle: They have a new exhibition about pirate treasures called "Swashbuckling Glory" I know you're a tough as nails private eye, but you've been to a museum before, right?Pola Chapelle: Hi there! I was just thinking... do you still remember about going shopping together?
Detective: Sure, I'd love to expand my wardrobe a little.
Pola Chapelle: i have a better idea. Let's swap it for a visit to the museum.
Detective: Are you sure it'll be fun?
Pola Chapelle: They're definitely more fun than you think. They have a new exhibition about pirate treasures called "Swashbuckling Glory". So, are you going?Detective: Uh, sure. Pirate treasures sound quite fun. I'll just grab my coat!
Witnesses[]
Detective: There are definitely a lot of people around the museum, Pola. And police officers. And cop cars.
Pola Chapelle: Hmmm, you're right. Well, what are you waiting for? You're the detective. Find out what's happening!

If you fail:
Detective: I don't think we can get inside, Pola. All entrances are blocked and the police won't let anyone inside.
Detective: Well then, there's nothing to see here. Let's go.
If you win:
Detective: Whew. I managed to squeeze through the crowd and police lines. Now let's get some answers.
Detective: Excuse me, you're the curator, right? I'm a private eye. Here's my license. Maybe you'd like a hand?
Bharata Chopra: A detective? You might just be what I need. Indeed, my name is Bharata Chopra and I'm the curator of this institution. We just suffered a serious robbery.
Bharata Chopra: It was a gang of professionals. They took all of the artifacts from our "Swashbuckling Glory" exhibition. But you can head inside and take a look.
Crime scene search: Artifact Raiders[]
Pola Chapelle: Darn it, the robbers hit the exhibition I wanted to see!
Detective: Let's hope we'll find some clues about the robbers, then. That's the only way to track them down and retrieve the exhibits.
If you fail:
Detective: Either the robbers were so professional, or the police already scooped up everything. Either way, we have nothing to do here.
If you win:
Detective: Jelly beans? They definitely don't look like an exhibit...
Pola Chapelle: I... suppose somebody dropped them while breaking the display case. Maybe one of the crooks has a jelly bean habit?
Suspect identification: Museum Mugshots[]
Detective: Jelly-eating seems like a very peculiar habit. I can use it to ID the museum robber.

If you fail:
Detective: There are just too many crooks with a fondness for sweets in the city.
If you win:
Pola Chapelle: I think that's him. Carl Johnson. Hmmm... I think I wrote an article about him, once. He leads a gang of car thieves.
Detective: I wonder why they switched from autos to antics?
City search: Carl's Crooks[]
Detective: Now we just ned to find the gang...
Pola Chapelle: I think they operate somewhere in this area. We need to ask around, maybe someone will spill the beans.
The gang's hideout is:
- more than 3 from museums
- exactly 3 from a train station
- more than 2 from hotels
- more than 1 from railways
- not more than 4 from a factory
- On the map there are 3 museums
If you fail:
Detective: Looks like the gang went into deep hiding after the heist. I won't find them now.
If you win:
Detective: Ok, they're at the scrapyard. I need to hold them here for a few minutes, while Pola calls for a police squad.
Carl Johnson: Why are you snooping around my scrapyard? Williams sent you?
Detective: Who the heck is Williams? Oh well, I better play along.
Detective: Yeah, so you know why I'm here?
Carl Johnson: We figured Williams will send someone to retrieve that high-tech gadget of hers. We're just after a museum heist and can't risk leaving any witnesses. So we'll probably throw you into the metal crusher.
Detective: Thanks for the offer, but I just wanted to buy some time before backups arrives. Guys, here they are, cuff 'em!
Finale[]
If you fail:
Detective: Pola, I need to ask you something. Was it your plan all along? To bring me here to figure it all out?
Pola Chapelle: You'll never know. Maybe If you had solved the case, I would've told you.
If you win:
Detective: We solved the case, but there are still two things bothering me. Before the arrest, Carl was talking about some hi-tech gizmo stolen from a person named Williams.
Pola Chapelle: I don't know what are you talking about. Hmmm. Maybe you should ask around for that Williams fellow one day. And what's the second thing bothering you?
Detective: Did you plan this from the beginning? Did you know there was a break-in at the museum?
Pola Chapelle: Well, I knew you wouldn't like a boring museum visit. And don't tell me it wasn't fun!
